Do this. Don’t do that. We’re forever yearning for black and white answers to our fundraising questions. I’ve always advised against the use of premiums for acquisition mailings. The data showed that gifts increased but were smaller and tougher to renew. In the past few years, though, I’ve been rethinking that idea. Great post from the smart folks at Harvey McKinnon.
