Your key to donor-centered fundraising? Listening

June 18, 2012

Have you ever run across a potential donor who isn’t terribly engaged?  Someone might have attended an event, or made a Facebook donation on behalf of one of your board member’s Birthday Wishes, or even made a one-time gift...three years ago.

Do you write them off the next time you’re digging into your database?  Or do you think about how, exactly, you might engage them?

In a recent Movie Mondays video, Wendy Hatch talks about finding ways to engage potential donors when there doesn’t seem to be any clear path to them. You’ll love her terrific story about a potential donor who was initially, shall we say, not too interested in the organization. She then talks about what the organization did that truly transformed the person into one of their largest donors.
