What’s in my Mailbox | All about the donor…down to the response device

We don’t talk a lot about direct mail response devices. But we should. For the most part, they’re lousy. Some seem to think that a reply device needs to be a certain size, often forcing donors to fill in tiny lines and pull out their magnifying glasses.

These two examples, from Ontario Nature, are different. Created with the donor in mind, they’re both printed on regular 8.5 X 11” stock, feature an easily read 13 or 14 point font, and are easily filled out. They’re straightforward too, not confusing the donor with 30 different options to give.

Simple works.
