I confess.  There are times when I’m pressed and this is exactly how I handle my email.

That said, whatever would compel me to open your email?  Yes, despite the fact that I have supported this organization in the past, I could give a Rat’s a$$ about their “spring fund drive.”

Study headlines.  Pay attention.  What draws you in?  What compels you to take time away from your busy day?
